DMH SNMP Agent on Xilinx Embedded FPGA Platforms

DMH Advanced SNMP Agent SDK is available for the Xilinx FPGA and other Xilinx platforms. All SNMP versions are fully supported: SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3.

DMH SNMP Agent is fully integrated with the Xilinx Platform FPGA MicroBlaze GCC software, or the GCC ARM. Popular TCP/IP stacks are Micrium or LwIP TCP/IP. Both support IPv4 and IPv6. The SNMP-Agent(s) for Xilinx platforms is available in Source Code SDK form or as a Binary SDK.

DMH team works closely with Micrium and Xilinx teams to integrate and test the DMH Advanced SNMPv3-Agent on Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA platform with Micrium OS and TCP/IP stack. Softing team of Germany is working on putting together a system for Profinet.

The Xilinx platforms are an FPGA CPLD Systems consisting of firmware, software and tools to develop network devices. They include: Hardware, RTOS, TCP/IP Stack, the MicroBlaze GNU C/C++ Compiler, the Eclipse IDE plus GUI GDB debugger and deployment tools. On some Xilinx platforms the SNMP-Agent can be used on the built-in ARM CPU.

See more information about the platform at: Xilinx, and Xilinx products. To build the DMH SNMP-Agent, we used the Toolchain provided by Xilinx: MicroBlaze GNU GCC compiler for the Spartan platform and the Micrium u/COS-II and Micrium Ipstack.

We thoroughly tested the SNMP-Agent on Xilinx FPGA Spartan 6 platforms. All SNMP versions: SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3 were fully tested and passed all regression tests.
